The Correlations between Cognitive Ability and KIOSK Usage Ability of the Elderly

Abstract

|
Objective : The purpose of this study is to understand the correlations between cognitive function and kiosk skills of elderly and to help the participate in society smoothly.
Methods : The subjects of this study were 10 senior citizens aged 65 or older who are currently attend at J Welfare Center in Busan Metropolitan City. The CERAD-K was used to evaluate cognitive functions and McDelivery application was used to evaluate performance of Kiosk usage. The SPSS ver. 25.0 were used for analysis the data.
Results : Those who have higher ability to recall and semantic memory skills performs better in usage of kioks. Also, for those with higher comprehensive cognitive skills such as orientation and attention performs better in usage of kioks.
Conclusion : The comprehensive cognitive function such as orientation and attention, ability to recall, and sementic memory skills influenced the performance of kiosk usage of elderly.
